Changes and Development to Online Poker

Online poker is somthing which will always need to change and evolve I feel, partly because it’s primary aim is to mimic the whole enjoyment of a real game as much as possible. This aim is perhaps impossible, but recent changes in online play have certainly brought the online experience closer to the genuine article.

Moving avatars are of course an obvious change which has been implemented successfully, simple things such as allowing other players to be aware of when someone checks their cards are all advances forward too.

In terms of the future of poker and where it goes from here, it is not unreasonable to have a vast list of anecdotes you could choose to say to your opponent whilst they are decision making, or just in general play. Further forward along the same lines perhaps we could literally talk to our opponents at the virtual tables, whilst wearing headsets.

Similarly, a games console springs to mind which includes physical movement of the hands conveying to actual movement within the game world. The future could perhaps have some of these ideas in store for online players, and a combination of others, but the aim will always be to create the most realistic and enjoyable place to play as possible.

I think the development of online poker play should be in the forefront of many minds within the business. This I feel, is because there are a great many different poker sites online these days, and the market is looking rather flooded with options for the online poker player. Sites offering poker play are going to have to do more with the passing years, to persuade players that their site will offer somthing special, and unique.
